Do You Need to Submit a Photo for Our New Parish Directory?
Since our goal is for all parish members to participate to make the directory complete, The Portrait Café is allowing us to submit photos from those who couldn’t make it to a scheduled photo session.
6 Tips for Taking Your Own Parish Directory Photos
- Lighting: Try to avoid harsh shadows on faces. (Photograph on a cloudy day or in the shade.)
- Cropping: Keep your phone in portrait mode and think about fitting the family into a square, focusing on faces. Avoid standing far away. No need to get full bodies. Faces are the key.
- Backgrounds: Look for a neutral background that’s not very busy.
- Lens: Be sure your camera lens is clean to avoid fuzziness.
- Positioning: Stand a few feet away from your wall or background to provide more depth.
- Have fun! Pose naturally.
WAYS TO SUBMIT A PHOTO
Your photo file should be a clear image in any of these file formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .pdf.
ONLINE
Use our form on this page & upload your photo.
Send an email to kisbell@evdio.org and attach your photo. Please include the names of each person in the photo.
DROP OFF
Bring your photo to the Parish Office for Kat to scan & return to you (Mon.-Thu., 8:00am-4:15pm; Door 12)
If you’re dropping it off to pick up later, please include your contact info & the names of each person in the photo. (On Fridays, please leave your photo & the info in Kat's mailbox with the requested info.)
