Families in Apostolic Mission
Our Mission
to promote the human-Christian values of the family in the community,
so that the family is a shaper of people, an educator in the faith, a defender of life
and, therefore, actively committed to the integral development of the community through its members.
Who We Are
FAMilies in Apostolic Mission or FAMA is an organization of lay people, assisted by spiritual advisors, that promotes marital spirituality and family apostolate, inspired by the values of the gospel. Ours operates within our Hispanic Ministry families and meetings are in primarily in Spanish.
The larger group is comprised of smaller groups, which meet during each month at a group member's home or at the parish. They discuss what they have observed in their own family or community, judge what they have seen in the light of Jesus' teaching and then act to improve things.
Through the application of this method, many FAMA families have become involved in helping others in their parishes and outreach ministries.
