2021 Holy Rosary Giving Tree
YOU can make a difference at Christmas time in the hearts and minds of children and families in our community, school and parish!
WHY WE SERVE
The Holy Rosary Giving Tree is an Advent tradition within the parish and school.
The project's primary mission is to assist needy individuals and families to have a joyful Christmas season.
The Giving Tree, figuratively and literally, is a tree with many serving and receiving branches of opportunity.
Through these branches parishioners of all ages can engage time, talent and treasure to bless others in our parish, school and community.
As we celebrate the birth of our Lord, may your hearts be filled with the joy of sharing with others!
HOW WE SERVE
IN THE PAST
Typically, evergreen trees have been in church the first weekend of November. On the trees were ornaments with a special request from a child, adult or elderly person in need of some assistance during the Christmas season.
Items were then purchased by our parishioners and school families and returned by the first weekend in December. These gifts were sorted by volunteers and delivered to local families and charitable organizations that include Evansville Children's Psychiatric Center and Evansville State Hospital.
Withthe continuted global pandemic and extra precautions with COVID-19, we have proceeded a little differently during the Christmas season.
We are asking Holy Rosary parishioners and Holy Rosary school families to make monetary donations for us to be able to purchase gift cards (SCRIP) for these families and individuals in need.
