Dear Friends,
Many thanks to the folks that made “Faith Day” such a great event last Saturday. In the end, there were over 200 people that participated in some way during the day. I’ve been receiving very positive feedback, some all the way from Ireland, Indiana. There is little doubt about this becoming an annual event sponsored by our parish. If you are looking for a way to build on the “Faith Day” experience, you may want to plan to attend “Search for Love & Truth”, a convocation on Marriage and Family Life to be held at Good Shepherd Parish on Saturday April 10th from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, prominent with the U.S. Bishops initiative to improve and energize marriage and family life will be the Key Note Speaker. If you have not yet returned your Catholic Parishes Campaign Pledge Card please do so this week. As I mentioned last weekend, one of the keys of success will be a large participation rate. I’m asking each household to consider making a pledge of $300. If you can contribute more, our chances of reaching our CPC goal would be greatly enhanced. Please note that any proceeds collected beyond our pledge goal from the diocese will be returned to the parish for our local projects. I hope to hear from you soon.
Christ’s Peace
Fr. Bernie Etienne
