Social Outreach Commission
The Social Outreach Commission strives to educate and involve parishioners in social justice issues within the parish community and in the larger community.
The Social Outreach Commission has endorsed the Department of Homeland Security's ReadyCampaign. The Ready Campaign asks individuals to do three key things to prepare for the unexpected: get an emergency supply kit, make a family emergency plan, and be informed about the different types of emergencies that could occur and their appropriate responses. Please watch the video, then move on to the next steps of preparing for and making a Family Emergency Plan. All the tools can be accessed from the toolbar on the side of the green interactive window. Clicking the home button on the interactive window will return you back to the starting point. You need Flash Player in order to view this. If you do not have it, or are unsure, you will see a link to download Flash rather than seeing the video. Once you've downloaded and installed Flash Player, please return to this web pge.

Coming events cast their shadows before: Gregory was the prefect of Rome before he was 30. After five years in office he resigned, founded six monasteries on his Sicilian estate and became a Benedictine monk in his own home at Rome.
